                               i.   Update on the K-9 Program Fund Raising

Have raised around $79,000 in under 2 months. Jake will be getting a duel dog (German Shepherd) from Wisconsin. Want to thank everyone who has donated. Will hopefully have the K-9 vehicle available by early July.

Alderperson Pearson – Wondering if the dog will be approachable for the DARE program. Also would like to know more about training.

   7.  21-0521    Presentation from Jill Pepin in the City of East Dubuque, Jo Daviess County, Illinois / Mayor VanOstrand, City Manager Herrig

Jill Pepin – Going over the projects she is working on right now. Without Jill’s help would not be able to do any projects. Grants and low interest rates for projects. Rebuild Illinois will not find out if we got it till end of third quarter.

Alderperson Pearson – Wondering exactly what month would find out. Jill mentioned maybe September.

Would be submitting the application for the IDNR Flood Buy Out Program within the next 2 weeks. Working with Ron Davis on this project.

Working on finishing up the USDA Fire House Project. Looking at being able to advertise and bid out in November/December 2021.

USDA Police Project working also on application to be sent out. Also looking at being able to advertise and bid out in November/December 2021.

Recommending 30 years for loan with the IEPA Water Improvement Project. This project is proposed to cost of $80,000. Looking to finalize documents and get applications out.

IEPA Lead Service Line Replacement Program is effective July 2020 and for the next 3 years. Will prepare and submit an application.

IEPA Indian Hills Sewer Extension Project was awarded in March is 100% covered. Grant period is from June 15, 2021 to June 15, 2023. Construction is scheduled for spring of 2022.

IEPA Sanitary Sewer Beecher Street Project asking to also do the 30-year loan.

No action needed.

Travis – $2500 increase to work with Jill on the IEPA. Just an update to contract for IEPA purposes.
