Around The City

Parks

Gramercy Park is home to Ancient Native American burial grounds overlooking the Mississippi River and providing a stunning view of neighboring Dubuque.

Dunleith Park offers spots to picnic, the aquatic center and swimming pools, playground for the youngsters and a ball diamond.

Golf

If you are interested in golfing we have 45 challenging holes across 4 courses (including a Par 3 course) at Lacoma Golf Course or a 9 hole course at Birchwood Golf Course just a couple miles north of the Wisconsin/Illinois State Line.

Worship

East Dubuque is home to both St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Wesley United Methodist Church.

Youth Sports

East Dubuque has superb sports programs for our youth in community softball, pee wee baseball and East Dubuque Youth Football League.  Many volunteers with strong dedication ensure the success of these youth programs.

Outdoors

Being situated between the mighty upper Mississippi River and the surrounding high bluffs, we are the northern Gateway to the Great River Road in Illinois.  Thanks to our three marinas, Frentress, Mid Town, and Millennium Bar & Marina the river is easily accessible.  Pull up to a sandbar to picnic, relax and make new friends, watch the boats, jet skis and skiers go by.  Ice fishing, snowmobiling, and ice golf are popular in the winter.

Food & Dining

We offer a variety of eateries and entertainment in our community, that range from hot dogs to fine cuisine.
