Nicor Gas believes every family deserves reliable and affordable energy. As part of our ongoing commitment to empowering our customers with options that promote affordability and efficiency, Nicor Gas is hosting a free virtual fair on Thursday, November 14th from 5-7 p.m. to educate customers across our footprint about available energy efficiency and assistance tools. These free offerings will help members of your community lower their bills, save energy and find money-saving opportunities.

The School will be hosting a Salute to The Veterans on November 11, 2024, at the East Dubuque High School.  The event will begin at 9:00 AM. All veterans are invited to attend, and a lunch will be provided.  Please plan to attend.

Minimum qualifications include

• Must currently possess or be eligible for a State of Illinois Law Enforcement Certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as a FULL-TIME or PART-TIME law enforcement officer in good standing
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be a U.S. Citizen at the time of appointment.
• The applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must Possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Must Possess a valid FOID card
• Good writing skills
• Good mental and physical condition, and willing to adapt to change.
• Willingness to work all shifts
• Must exhibit good moral character and have not been convicted of any felony. Persons with a record of misdemeanor convictions may be disqualified from taking examinations as set forth in 65 ILCS 5/ Article 10-1-7(c). Certain misdemeanor convictions may disqualify candidates for a position in the Police Department. This can be viewed at www.ilga.gov.
• Preference to applicants who are Honorably discharged from the military.

The City of East Dubuque will be flushing hydrants August 26th-30th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. inside the city limits.  Please refrain from doing laundry during this time period.

The City of East Dubuque will be flushing hydrants September 3rd-6th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the Frentress Lake area.  Please refrain from doing laundry during this time period.
