   2.  22-0514    Staff Reports

                        a.  City Manager Report

                               i.   K-9 Update

Officer Jake Peacock and Odin have helped the Sheriff’s department on a drug arrest. Also received an award from a K-9 competition. They received first place in “Gun Fire Around Man” competition.

                              ii.   Employee Compliment

Sergeant Lange received a nice compliment from a domestic violence incident.

                             iii.   East Dubuque Nitrogen Plant

An article was included about the CVR Partners and great first quarter they had. Will be reaching out for some possible grants.

                             iv.   Railroad Feasibility Study

Included in packet.

City Council meetings on Face book were reported as hate speech and are in review. We did not take down the videos. Will be posting on website instead.

                        b.  Mayor Report

Fire hydrants painted up now and ground being moved out to new water tower area. Someone wants to build behind Runde’s.

                        c.  Alderman Report

                               i.   Belken

Good guy award for Mayor Degenhardt for cutting grass.

Memorial Parade on Monday May 30th.

TVs are being dumped off at St. Mary’s.

Brush pile for burning?

Asked Attorney Kurt if possible to have trains not blow horns in town? Will be at our expense. This is called a quiet zone. Would be federal.

Motion by Alderman Walsh to Approve Collective bargaining Agreement between the City of East Dubuque, Illinois and Teamsters Local Union No. 120 from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2026 second by Alderman Burgmeier    ROLL CALL: Ayes – Alderman Belken, Alderman Burgmeier, Alderman Hoffmann, Alderman Walsh and Mayor Degenhardt    Motion carried    Absent – Alderman Fluhr
