                        a.  City Manager Report

                               i.   Update on Water & Sewer Utility Ordinance

Have it drawn up and working on billing system. Will start using with the February billing.

                              ii.   Flood Buyout Information

Jill Pepin is still working on. Hoping that new funding sources have become available in 2022.

                             iii.   Street Light Update

Been working on these and there are about 5 or 6 streetlights left to be done.

                             iv.   Building Inspection Report

Showing the report that was done on the Police Station done in December 3, 2015.

                              v.   Video Gaming Update

Recent legislation we are only allowed to charge $25 a machine. New law will allow us to charge $250 a machine, which we will work out for 2023. Looking to have fees paid directly to City Hall from gaming companies instead of the bars.

Alderman Biermeier – asked where this money goes to.

Gaming money goes to street dept.

Update on Wayne Stewart building? This is a Wall Street address. This will be a bar and gaming machines.

Also asked about deadline on the lead lines into people’s houses. Deadline in the next
30 days with money going to specific addresses on paperwork.

Why is there City people going into houses? They are checking for lead lines.

Roof across public sidewalk and added concrete on Wall Street. Will new concrete cause any flooding? Don’t see any problem for flooding and roof curtsey.

Gravel in the flats. This is seal coat on the road that is least expensive and to preserve the base.

Camera’s downtown?

Was put aside till funding is available.

Lawsuit has been filed.

Squad back from being fixed. All squad cars are all running.

Officer Peacock and Odin have been very busy. They have been training on their own time.

Dan Dolan – Would still like to see ordinance to stay the same.

Dave Sendt – Appreciate that City is looking at the change. He is looking to bringing more business to the downtown area.

Change from 15,000 to 5,000 and delete second sentence.

Chief Kovacic swears in Sergeant Cody Lange.

 

   8.  21-1226    Discussion and Possible Action to Request Funding for Tyler Justice Center for Children in the City of East Dubuque, Jo Daviess County, Illinois / Mayor, City Manager Herrig

Chief Kovacic would like to donate to the Tyler Justice Center for Children. Police use this organization when having to deal with children that have been abused. Will be donating $500.

   9.  21-1227    Discussion and Possible Action to Approve All Liquor and City Licenses of Various Classes for Calendar Year January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 Pending Completed Applications in the City of East Dubuque, Jo Daviess County, Illinois / Mayor Degenhardt, City Manager Herrig

All but one will be renewing for 2022.
